Located within the picturesque hills of Tolna, the Apponyi family's nearly 300-years-old Baroque castle offers you elegance, peace and comfort. The wellness center of the the Apponyi Castle Hotel includes an indoor swimming pool, two thermal pools, saunas, a fitness room, and offers a wide range of services and therapies. The hotel consists of two buildings: the renovated Baroque castle itself, and the more modern Elysium building - located at a 80 meters distance from each other. The former has 31 rooms (4 de luxe, 11 superior and 16 standard bedrooms), mirroring the splendour of the Baroque days; the latter has 29 rooms of maximum comfort with a more modern environment. Room equipment: television, direct dial telephone, safe and mini bar. Services: parking, 24 hour reception, room service (in the Castle), non-smoking rooms, and specially equipped rooms for the disabled. The wellness services and treatments are based on the medical water of Klara-well, located in the park. Our guests can use the following facilities free of charge: 10 x 20 m indoor swimming pool, 2 thermal basins (36-38 Celsius), 4 saunas, an infra sauna, a fitness room and - in the summer - a sun terrace. Additional services for surcharge include: massages, package, body treatment, health spa, and the following health care services: mechanotherapy, balneotherapy, electrotherapy. Directions - by car from Budapest, take M7 motorway to Siofok, then at the 105-km junction, turn on route 65 towards Szekszard ( travel ca.160 km from Budapest), - by train: the nearest railway station is Szakaly-Hogyesz (3 km), and the nearest Intercity train stop is Dombovar (30 km). (If needed, we can provide transfer from either of these train stations.)
